Giants-Colts final score: The Giants beat the Colts 38-10 to reach the playoffs

East Rutherford, NJ – N.Y New York Giants They qualified for their first playoff berth since the 2016 season on Sunday with a lopsided 38-10 win over… Indianapolis Colts. The Giants are 9-6-1, while the Colts are down to 4-11-1.

The Giants also broke the 30-point barrier for the first time since Week 5 of the 2020 season โ€” October 11, to be exact โ€” when Daniel Jones ran 18 yards for a score with 10:40 left in the third quarter. The Giants had gone 43 games without reaching 30 points.

Jones had four down days. He completed 19 of 24 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 11 times for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Jones walked out of the game with just over seven minutes left to chants of “Daniel Jones”.

Saquon Barkley ran 12 times for 58 yards. This allowed him to surpass his 2018 single-season high of 1,307 rushing yards. He now has 1,312 rushing yards.

First half summary

The Giants took the lead in the game in a dominant second quarter, taking a 24-3 lead going into the locker room. Jones threw second quarter touchdown passes from 6 yards to Richie James and Isaya Hudgens, Landon Collins returned an interception by Nick Foles 52 yards for a touchdown and Graham Gano added a 36-yard field goal.

Jones finished the half 15 of 20 for 131 yards, two touchdowns and 34 yards rushing on eight carries.

Kayvon Thibodeaux’s ejection near the end of the inning knocked Foles out of the game with a rib injury.

The Giants brought in legendary Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor to ring the victory bell early in the game. Taylor ran out of the tunnel to thunderous applause.

And defensive lineman Leonard Williams left the game in the third quarter with a burner. Williams had been dealing with a neck problem for several weeks.
