Harry and Meghan’s Netflix docuseries are a top priority for King | Royal | News

King Charles is preparing for yet another royal crisis as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry could launch the docu-series on Netflix within weeks. While the title, content and exact release date of the docu-series are still unknown, it will be top of mind for the monarch, a royal biographer has claimed.

Daily Mail columnist and biographer of the Queen Robert Hardiman said that King Charles is a “workaholic”.

Joe Elvin, host of Palace Confidential, said this was “good news” because he had inherited the “very difficult volume”.

Asked what was at the top of the pile, Mr Hardman said: “I think the Duke of Sussex’s book is a problem, the Sussex movie with Netflix – that’s a problem.

“But in the same way the Queen did, he dealt with these things as her father had taught her when he was in the navy.”

Mr Hardiman said: “Storms pass and they recover.

And sometimes, you have to plug the holes.

Despite the royal crises to come, the royal biographer believes that “the main focus will be on the coronation and after that, we will move beyond the idea of the newness of the reign.

“After that, it becomes a new, stable system. And I think that’s what’s most important in his mind.”

Netflix has yet to acknowledge that a Netflix series is planned, but unnamed sources have revealed that the highly anticipated series may hit the streaming giant as soon as December.

Meghan and Harry first signed a multi-year deal with Netflix in September 2020, with The New York Times reporting that the California-based couple will exclusively create documentaries, docuseries, feature films, scripted shows and children’s programming for Archwell Productions.

Asked what royal fans can expect from the docuseries, Meghan told Variety: “It’s nice to be able to trust someone with our story – an experienced director whose work I’ve admired for a long time – even if it means it may not be the way it is.” We like it He said it.

“But that’s not why we’re telling it. We trust our story to someone else, and that means it will pass through their lens.”
