It’s been a big month or so for corn on the cob. An adorable corn-loving kid has captured the internet’s attention, as has his obvious snack.

Why is everyone talking (and singing) about corn?
Cornish-related content first caught my eye in late August, when I scrolled through my “For You” page on TikTok and noticed several videos using the same track – Attractive song posted by TikTok account Tweet embed
The song is from an interview on Recess Therapy – a web series that asks questions to children. in That interviewwhich debuted earlier in August, host Julian Shapiro Barnum holds a close-mic microphone of a young man named Tariq, who speaks fondly of corn.
“I can’t imagine anything more beautiful,” Tariq says.
Tariq is missing a tooth and wears a T-shirt decorated with double-decker bus graphics. He grabs a half-eaten seed on the cob, and takes a bite or two of it during the interview.
Shapiro Barnum asks him to describe the atom. “Big block with handles,” he says. Tariq suggests that corn should cost $1, and he wishes viewers a “crappy” day.
As of this writing, the version of the song by @schmoyoho has garnered over 8 million likes. In the melody videos – of which there are more than 400,000 – people word orderAnd the Jam and brag Kid Corn Art Greeting. Even actor and musician Kevin Bacon got into this trend, posting an acoustic version of the song Corn Kid Listens Well.

Who is Korn Kidd?
Although Tarek has talked endlessly about corn, we don’t know much about the kid behind the meme. according to The Atlantic, has not appeared in television or interviews.
When he’s not dropping quote-worthy parts around the corn, he likes to play games like tag and hide.
“I play a variety of games,” says Tarek on Recess Therapy, “never a lava monster.”
