Khloe Kardashian says fear of skin cancer is the reason for her last bandage

Khloe Kardashian talks about the importance of getting skin cancer checks after she was terrified of her.

The reality star, 38, revealed in an Instagram story Tuesday that she recently had to undergo surgery to remove a tumor from her famous face.

The revelation came after Kardashian said she had noticed “many stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage on my face.”

Kardashian said she decided to get a “little bump” after seven months realizing it “wasn’t budge,” at first she thought it was “something as simple as a zit.”

But after consulting with two dermatologists and biopsies, Kardashian advised “an immediate operation to remove a tumor” from her face, noting that what the doctors were seeing “was extremely rare for someone my age.”

On the next slide, a mother of two writes that she is “grateful” for her surgeon.

“All my margins are clear and now we’re moving on to the healing process,” she wrote. “You’ll still see my bandages and when I’m allowed to, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation on my cheek from the bunion being removed) but until then I hope you enjoy how amazing these facial bandages look.”

In one selfie, Kardashian is seen with a small, rectangular white bandage covering her right cheek.

Later in her stories, Good American writes that she shares her story so she can “remind everyone to get checked, and frequently.”

Kardashian said she had skin cancer removed from her back when she was 19, but advised even those who aren’t predisposed to developing skin cancer to “check all the time.”

“I was lucky and all I have is a scar with which to tell a story,” she said. “Most people are not as lucky as me and I am forever grateful.”
