The Last of Us on HBO gets its premiere date

Naughty Dog and HBO have confirmed that the TV show adaptation of The Last Of Us will premiere on January 15, 2023.

The news was shared along with a new poster showing Joel from Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay Ellie walking through a devastated city in the post-apocalyptic world of The Last of Us.

The January 15 premiere date was leaked yesterday, November 1, via the HBO Max app, website and promotional materials in the UK, but it’s now official.

HBO’s The Last of Us Season 1 will consist of 10 episodes, and is expected to cover the events of the first game from 2013. However, some episodes will feature events that “significantly deviate” from the game.

The first trailer for Last of Us was released in September, and it gave us our first look at the Clickers, the post-apocalyptic United States, and even what appeared to be the game’s heartbreaking opening scene.

For more, check out why Bella Ramsay is “encouraged” not to play The Last of Us before filming and the rest of the cast who will be joining Joel and Ellie.
