Tour de Suisse: Geraint Thomas wins the overall title

Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) claimed the final victory at the Tour de Suisse after he overhauled leader Sergio Higuita (Bora-Hansgrohe) in the eighth stage of the trial at Vaduz, which was won by Remco Evenepoel (QuickStep-AlphaVinyl).

Two seconds ahead of Higuita at the start of the day, Thomas was a firm favorite to ditch the Colombian from the yellow jersey in the final 25.6km test. It proved, with Thomas clocking the second best time of the day, just three seconds behind Eveningpool.
