YouTube Music is the first app to bring Chromecast audio adapter support in Android 13

Google introduced the Audio Output Converter Shortcut for Android media player apps a couple of years ago. However, the feature did not include Chromecast and Google Cast devices in its list, and people demanded it The Google Support for these devices. with Android 13Google has finally added support for Google Cast devices in the audio output switcher, and YouTube Music is the first app to support it.

The Google Android 13 released QPR1 (Quarterly Platform Release 1), providing support for Google Cast compatible devices in the audio output switcher. Pixel smartphones running Android 13 QPR1 can now use this feature, and it’s available for the first time via Google Play Youtube music (Across 9To5Google). Developers of all media playback and streaming applications must implement this feature to support the new Audio Output Adapter with Cast compatibility.

For now, you will not be able to see Streaming devices in the audio output switcher of your Galaxy smartphone or tablet. This is because Samsung It hasn’t implemented this feature yet, and it needs to bring these changes with a future update to One UI 5.0 or by updating its media output module in the background. Perhaps Samsung will bring this feature to its devices with the One UI 5.1 update, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

The ability to pipe audio to Bluetooth devices and Google Cast is a handy feature to use, and you don’t have to unlock your phone and open a media playback app to switch audio to another device.
